Emotional awareness is essential to understanding how stressors affect you. This section of the website is a tool to help us become more emotionally aware. One example, a new nurse had an event happen early in training that he was not able to effectively identify as we went through the emotional wheel together. He was able to recognize that his anger was a byproduct of his insecurity. He identified the origins of his emotions and was able to put things in perspective. When going through this section, please take a moment to think of an event where an emotion in your past or present might have caught you off guard, then answer the questions honestly and think about the answer. The emotional wheel will follow the question so you can understand the progression of the emotion. See what happens when you claim the label. Life Assesment

Manage Stress And Thrive.
When stress becomes overwhelming, many components of life are affected over time. This causes burnout, negativity, apathy, and addiction to start taking over. This section of our website is the Life Assessment. The first part of the section asks you to reflect on your quality of life in different areas, using a scale of 1 to 10. When you answer with an eight or less, other questions will populate. Please reflect on these questions and try to answer honestly. At the end, a pie chart will populate for the major areas of your life. Then, a bar graph for the subsections will show more focused results. These two results will give you a picture of how you perceive the various areas of your life, reflecting your strengths as well as areas that show an opportunity for growth. This is where goal setting comes into play. Please let us know how we can improve at the end of the section. Thank you.
